Alabama Point Snorkeling

Most people don't realize the incredible snorkel adventures to be enjoyed in L.A. (Lower Alabama). Whether you are a novice or seasoned waterman, Perdido Pass or what the locals refer to as Alabama Point, offers some amazing underwater scenery that most visitors simply overlook. My family has  been snorkeling the west and east jetty (stretch of huge rocks that border the pass) for over a decade logging in a collection of memories, not to mention a variety of fresh fish and crab for our table. I especially enjoy the spring. My six year old climbs aboard  my back and we shoot Florida Pompano, sheepshead, and  almost always black snapper. Let me know if you are  going to be in the Orange Beach area, I would be happy to give you some great gear tips and POINT you in the right direction!
